Best crypto currency?

I have been investing in VEN and have netted a profit but it's not a very out there coin, market for it is limited kinda like private trading. I always try to invest of spend time mining newer coins that work deals with trading platforms and other markets. That way you know it has some value even if it's a few cents. Just my though on investing in coins.
