Stores are all around the world, correct? So what would happen when a multi-billion dollar company makes a store- or the very first store?
The fist amazing supermarket is opened and to the surprise there are no check out or humans to verify the purchases
The store has cameras on the ceilings identifying each and every person, this also means it tracks the items the customers are buying. And I know your probably asking "then does that mean free stuff?"
Well no. You use your Amazon go app as a credit card, but not really. It's used to identify you and your credit card that you have. Once leaving with the item your credit card would automatically be charged
There was some problems with the cameras that they used, for instance people with identical body types gets the system confused, and to add on that kids moving items to different areas.
Amazons go supermarket isn't the only one though, back in 2015 they made 12 different Amazon bookstores around the world. The latest was last year in New York.
The total earnings was 1.28bn, but most of that was generated by whole foods.
