Tor-Based Dark Web Email Service Targeted by Government Spies

With government agencies owning exit nodes of their own, Tor has never been appealing to me because it just seems like the risk of connecting to a government exit node is high and being tracked like we already are now. Maybe I just don't understand Tor but it just seems like if you are using Tor you are asking for trouble.
