I'd say having to reply to the thread to see the hidden content as a bump, or having separate sections for VIP users who can post there, and there'll be little to no leechers in that section since they'd have at least some commitment to the forum that they'd have donated to. There is definitely no perfect solution to this, but it's better than this current system which makes you hop through pointless hoops to view a thread with hidden content that you desire to view.
