That depends on your country. The thing to remember since you're only buying it for that much, that is all you have to declare.
$300 - Item $50 - Shipping (varies) $70 - 20% Customs VAT on item + shipping + insurance (if applicable) Customs Duty = can be either duty-free or around 6.7% This can only be determined once at Customs. Probably minor courier fees, these are more of an inconvenience than a concern.
Of course, if you wish to risk it you can under declare and/or declare as a gift. Considering the below, I personally wouldn't risk doing so since it's not like it can be returned anywhere, and it remains a good deal less than retail.
So for the UK, this could potentially cost as little as $420 to import which is around 300. For a 650-800 (welcome to the UK) device. Other countries will mildly differ by a % or two.
The main reason people think of Customs being unreasonable is usually due to people importing computer hardware, which is quite often in the thousands; thus harder to under declare and also a little bit moronic since the market isn't THAT different. People don't also always SE and sell for really cheap like a bae so customs is less of a burden.
