How did you get into Garry's Mod?

I had gmod for a few years now, never liked it. I was always playing tf2, but I only played single player as I owned a terrible laptop that would always crash when I tried loading onto multiplayer. When I got my PC, I didn't play gmod for like one and a half years, but then I had a couple of mates who wanted to play zombie survival, so sure, I joined them, I found zombie survival alright, then I found out about Star Wars RP, looked for a high population server (Republic Gaming, fell out with them now), got trained 3 times (why not, their whitelist was broke), and I ended up becoming the General as a Shadow Trooper. That's my introduction to gmod.
