Paypal is not a cryptocurrency. My answer would be Bitcoin. It's the pioneer of cryptocurrency and the main factor/variable that dictates the value of other cryptocurrencies. Also, it's slowly taking over the world. I just saw in the news that there's already a Bitcoin ATM in the USA.
