I do not believe in one personally, but I'll probably believe in it when I'm much closer to death. It causes people relief and if anyone wants to take away that relief because 'Mah atheism', then they're fools. Questions like this to be honest should not even be asked, everyone even the most religious person you know has an inkling of an idea that there is no afterlife. It's just how it is, don't take it personally.
