#1 Introduction/Disclaimer
Thank you for visiting my guide, I hope this helps you out.
This guide will hopefully do the following for you:
To do this you must have Nvidia Inspector

BE SURE TO HAVE NVIDIA INSPECTOR UPDATED
Step 1: Open Nvidia inspector and open the profile inspector.
In order to apply these settings you must open the profile inpector.
You need to click the Nvidia logo that is circled in the picture.
Step 2: Create Garry's Mod Profile
This is going to be probably the longest of these steps.
Read carefully. I am sorry if the directions are unclear.
Once you open the profile inspector pay attention to the following
Click the dropdown that is being pointed at in the picture and find Half Life: Source, and select it.
Then find the remove application button (red arrow pointing to it in picture below)
Once you open that dropdown menu, click hl2.exe and remove the application.
After you remove the application you want to add the hl2.exe that is found in your Garry's Mod directory (Steps and pictures will be shown below)
The picture above is the add application button that you will need in order to add the Garry's Mod hl2.exe.
The picture above this text is the Garry's Mod hl2.exe you want to add as the new application.
After you add the new application you want to move on to make your new profile. First you need to select the new profile button (shown below)
Once you click the new profile button name the profile Garry's Mod, and then add the profile.
Step 3: Applying Settings and Finishing Up.
Now that you have a profile for Garry's Mod in Nvidia Inspector you will need to add the settings so that this will work properly.
Copy the settings I have underlined in the picture below. There should be a dropdown menu where it says (Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch) in the picture above, and you should be able to select (Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch).
After you made your ambient occlusion compatibility be set to (Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch), you are now ready to move on to the final steps.
Scroll down the menu until you find 5 - Common.
Change your settings the match the ones that are circled in the picture above.
Where it says Quality in the picture, you can change how you want the shaders to look by use of a dropdown menu that contains 4 settings.
Choose the setting that fits your graphics card, and PC best and continue to the final steps.
Under the Ambient occlusion setting that you just set, be sure to Ambient Occlusion Usage set toEnabled.
Once the common settings have been complete go to the top right corner and clickApply ChangesAs shown below.
Once you have applied your changes feel free to go ahead and launch Garry's Mod, and enjoy your new shaders (if this worked).
Conclusion and Pictures.
Thank you for visiting my guide and I hope it benefits you. Sorry if it didn't work, I recommend you keep trying until you give up or until it does work. This can be buggy when using the Gmod camera or post processing settings. If you find and error in this guide please let me know in the comments so I can fix it .
