If I were a scientist, I'd figure out how to cure Malaria. It's something that's killing so many innocent people near rainforests and in rural areas... and even some urban areas. It's an epidemic that nobody really knows how to solve other than chasing away some mosquitoes through the use of physical objects and nets and like spray that keeps them off you.
It'd help so many poorer countries, and people in need.

you do realise it could cost millions or even billions to cure one person? also, cancer isnt just one single disease.
