It doesn't just scan you eye though (like some of the Samsungs with retina scanners). On the X it does your entire face and uses the data from that. So you can still unlock it even when looking away from the phone etc.

I just use my phone for messages and YouTube, but hopefully I end up using it for some photography once the weather is a bit better. Although I have just bought a DSLR camera as well ffs lol

The whole face? whoah i didnt know that! thats smart! aahhput the camera on eBay and sell it for more money :D
