After all, if you see a stranger wearing a hoodie late at night hiding by a dark alley that you are about to walk by it's probably a good idea to put a bit of defensive distance between you. Although doing so means you have just judged based solely on looks. Of course, if this person greets you in a friendly manner not doing likewise takes your judgement a step too far. A friendly hello won't endanger yourself lol
