In my experience AAC is very useful for reporting and prevent hackers. Of course, you should always have a system which allows community members to reach moderation staff, as they can be quite better than a lot of anti-cheats. You could also look into getting a number of different anticheats, and use them for what they're best at, instead of relying on one anticheat which has it's own pros and cons. While using multiple anticheats could be costly, it is a lifetime licence for any server you create [for most ACs], and there are always free anticheats.
