Coldest Winter

So, for Australia, this winter is going to be the coldest winter. It has been rumored it's going to be snowing in places it's never even snowed before, I am kind of excited because I have only really seen snow in New Zealand, Queen's Town.

Anyone else from Australia here? And know if these rumors are going to be true?
