Smart Disease Mod is an addon aimed at bringing new depth to DarkRP and other roleplaying gamemodes. You can begin epidemics and cure everyone with just a few clicks. Set specific DarkRP jobs to be immune to disease such as the Mayor or Doctor for example. Disable individual diseases, configure to your desire.
Please keep in mind that just like Smart Prop Control, I will be updating this script frequently and providing the fastest support possible.
How do diseases work?
Diseases work by spreading from player to player based on their properties. Some diseases on non-infectious, some are. A disease can spread more easily to an unhealthy player with 5 health vs a player with 100 health. Disease infection is also influenced by that particular pathogen's infection rate and progression rate.
How do players get infected?
Players can be infected manually from the staff control panel or naturally from gun shot wounds, stab wounds, head trauma, air and other contagious players.
I have a doctor job on my server and dont want to use the NPC
You don't have to! Simply give the doctor job the Diagnosis Kit SWEP and configure Disease Mod to allow that player to purchase medicine and you are done! Disease Mod will automatically add the medicine at the configured prices to the F4 menu!
Vaccines
Vaccines work by protecting the player from becoming infected by a particular disease. Vaccines wear off when the player dies in tandem with the popular New Life Rule.
Vaccines can be purchased through both the DarkRP F4 Menu and from the Doctor NPC. Prices are completely configurable.
