Hello everyone! Hope you all are doing well. For a long time I was thinking of a suggestion I wanted to mention, so today I thought I should say some things related to it.
Firstly, I have been seeing the threads which aremore than a year old, gets bumped when a new user posts init. Because of that, newly createdthreadsgets ignored. I always see the date when it was created then I post in it. Even though, lots of threads are still on top which were created in early 2017 or very few of 2016 because of the title like, "Which one do you prefer more" so people are more attracted to it and post in that.
What should be implemented?
An option which allow users to select; Show threads: By creation time, newest posts, ratings.
Location can be either;
OR, the bottom side of the forum.
The purpose:
Purpose of what I'm trying to say is that, introduce a system which doesn't stack old threads and make mess of everything. The "latest posts" section on the main forum page is the shortcut, and including myself, I use that one. But when I open it, most of the times the thread I get, have many pages and overloaded. So, it should contain new post first or should have and option to access, "new threads" type thing. We can minimize a little junk with this step too. Plus, I don't know if there are any rules regarding posting in very old threads or not,but we have to focus on that too.
Conclusion:
Finally, I'd like to say that this was a rough idea which I had in my mind. Now that I have tried my best to explain what I'm trying to say and suggest to improve the forums. Although this was all from my side and it completely depends on the forum heads to take action and they know what is best for it. So,I hope concerned staff can take this thing in consideration and take measures to create a friendly and healthy environment.
