hmm i guess some people just really wanna be female, there's a difference from being gay and being trans, usually id say gay people accept that they are male/female and like the same gender, but dont want to be the opposite gender, while trans people could like any of both genders, but feel as they would fit better as the opposite gender

This is indeed correct. Transgender people don't associate themselves in the same waycis-people do with their gender. They feel it isn't them, it's not their body, they're not the person they are looking at in the mirror. When they change, and see a difference, they can start to associate themselves a lot better, feel a lot more at "home" in their body, and accept their new identity more comfortably. Hormone therapy does a lot of work pre-surgery and you don't often even need silicons to have breasts. As you start to age up you feel more and more that the body you are in isn't yourbody and it feels wrong.

Some will do it before puberty, some will wait out puberty, some countries actually provide free transitioning because it's paid for by their health insurance but you need to have a whole lot of conversations with a therapist to make sure that it really is what you want, and as said above, you're not just gay, just lesbian, or simply just bi.You are actually a female on the inside but born with a male body. Or, you're actually a male born with a female body. Often than not, this behavior is seen as early as age 2. Things you won't often pick up as a parent that can be seen as gay, lesbian, bi, or even transgender, but are still there. Things like wanting to play with dolls instead of cars, wanting to play soccer instead of dressing up dolls, and so on.

As for surgery, it's the ultimate wish for a lot of transgenders, yet, not many actually go through with it because it's life-changing. You need a whole year for it to be the norms appearance. You will have to take care of it your whole life, ensuring it doesn't try to completely shut itself. You need to keep it open for the rest of your life.
