When I was a youngan, like OP, I tried my hand at PHP on W3 schools. I could barely get past arrays, and that was the end of that for several years. It was boring, and I barely undersood it at the time not having any previous programming knowledge. However, my web dev skills exploded when I just ripped into a project not knowing anything. Just set your goal, google it and look at the answer on stackoverflow, and just build. You'll never learn more. I really think that tutorials have a very narrow scope, and spamming tutortials will make you lose interest.
Also, trying to fast is a mindset that will lead to disappointment. Your first few things are going to suck, but you'll only realize that down the track when you revisit your old code
