The smell is something I tend to avoid, and as long as someone is not lighting up in my car I don't really mind if my friends/family do it. I'm not a fan of smoking either, but nicotine dependency is something that you can't control for a lot of people, so I just keep myself out of it unless someone I care about is really really getting out of hand.
