I'm a big fan of the underground stoner rock scene. I grew up with classic bands like Status Quo and Uriah Heep and I guess that already set the direction for my taste nowadays. Always gonna take real handmade music with guitars and keyboards and real drums over some stuff clicked together on a PC (which is surprisingly easy to do). The more interesting question is how did I actually get into the underground stoner rock scene. A friend recommended me american desert rock band "Queens of the Stone Age" with Josh Homme as front man. The previous band of Josh Homme was Kyuss, which is Stoner Metal. From Kyuss I went on to discover Earthless; the leading Psychedelic Band nowadays (Pink Floyd doesn't count anymore; they blew it with The Wall back in the 80s). And after Earthless I discovered a Youtube Channel called "Stoned Meadow of Doom" where the first album I heard was of israeli underground band "Heavy Stone" and since then I haven't looked back. So much brilliant music in the underground band. So much more creativity and innovation than in the mainstream scene. Not trying to be hipster here; that stuff is genuinely good. Not sure if its allowed to post links but lately, one of my favorite albums is "Fruit" by South African band "Pollinator". 17 songs, most under 3 minutes. Loads of variety. All 3 band members sing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRHIU6ET2m4
