Honestly not sure how I feel about it. Truthfully I think it's a little edgy and obnoxious. The vast majority of the world is straight, so you're essentially saying you're proud to be part of the majority. To me, being proud to be the majority is essentially a hive mind.
I totally understand (and agree to some degree) saying there is a double standard involved when it comes to straight pride vs. gay pride, but I don't think they are the same thing. I do, however, think that by there being such a large "gay pride" movement they are making it seem as though they are "different" which is the exact thing I thought they were trying to stop. If you want to be taken as equal to everyone else, don't demand to be treated better. We're all on a level playing field and I think the better part of society feels that way.

An estimated 3.8% of the United States identifies as gay. By not being a part of the majority, they are considered outside of the social norms in some countries, which unfortunately leads to discriminatory practices in some countries. In these cases the movements are needed to stop alienating a portion of the populous, but sometimes it can get a little obnoxious.
