Custom Rep 1.8

I know this is older than a month. I was just wondering, would your rep change if someone reps you? Because when I did a query on PHPMyAdmin like changing my rep to 99,999 then someone repped me +1, my reps reverted back to +1. Just wondering if this can bypass that or not.
