Fun Fact: Halloween was initially a combination of multiple holidays to celebrate the passing of the life season(summer) and the upcoming of the death season(winter). Ancient colonies would wear masks and costumes to disguise themselves as the ghosts that lurked around during this season in order to make the ghosts believe they were one of their own.

And to scare little kids :D
