Hey its ZVyRus am going to give some information abt opening gmod server
*this is a little tips for newbie-normal user*

1.SRCDS isnt multi-threaded that mean you can only use a single core of cpu instend of 2 or 3 or 4 cores
so you need to find a VPS or Dedicated server that have high clock speed like 3.0+ghz
2.SRCDS isnt ram hungry it CPU hungry as you can see srcds will use less than 1gb of ram
when there are 32 players but instend it will use like 60% of a singke core depend on your cpu clock speed
3.Set srcds priority to Realtime just ignore the warning its going to be fine
3.1.For ubuntu user you can use renice command by type in

this command will show the pid of some program running on you vps/dedicated
then you will see srcds_run just check the pid of srcds then type in

then you ade done!!

4.set sv_maxrate in server.cfg to 0 you dont want to set the limit on this one trust me
5.set sv_minrate in server.cfg to 10000 you dont want it to go lower than 10000 or it will lag urs server
6.remoce useless addon out of your server collection more addons = more resorce
That all!! so if you followed me correctly you are good to go
am opening a darkrp server woth 32/32 players slot everyday with 2GB Ram 2.2GHZ Cpu Clock Speed VPS and i dont see any lag on my server

Leave Feedback If This Thread Helped You!!! :3

That is a nice guide for newbies. I believe some game hosts already set minrate and maxrate and have some anti lag and crash addons.
Such as crident.
