Why do people dislike minecraft

Most see the game as too simple but don't see the true light in the game, Most don't understand the premise for the game and how it appeals to many adults and kids alike, Obviously the reputation doesn't help when it is implied its for children but it doesn't say anything about adults which is why it looks like a wall between.
