What would you do in a lucid dream?

i can tell you what i did do once in a lucid dream.
I was way younger, and i was dreaming, it was a nightmare. I realized i was dreaming and shook my head to wake up. But when i woke i up i was in my garage. Then my dog came up to me happy as can be. Then i realized i might still be dreaming.
So i thought hard about it and turned my dog pokadotted lol.... and then scared my self and woke up....
or is this a dream????
How do i know i am not in a coma or some shit... damnit...
