Why are iPhones so popular?

I myself dont use apple just becouse its popular. I got stuck woth an iphone as my first smartphone and therefor ive been sticking around with it. As i somehow dont want to re-learn a whole platform for an other device. As im as happy i can b with my Iphone, but now when this phone gets too shitty im pretty sure il move over to Samsung as the new iphones are kinda shitty without the home button and such
