No, I don't think so. Epic Games is aware of their audience being mainly kids and having an inventory system would make room for gambling websites, which would lead to some kids using these websites. Epic knows full well that they are indirectly promoting gambling to kids if they make this choice, which, needless to say, wouldn't end well for them.
