Pretty new here, Kind of want to just start a discussion to earn some validity on here.
Don'tknow the technicalterm, but I used to be a real 'Genre Snob' and listen to nothing but Metal, Hardcore, Punk etc and shit on anyone of my mates that listened to hip hop or EDMor whatever...
Now I'm a little older, I've played music in hardcore bands and blues bands, managed nightclubs that play nothing but trap and hip-hop and now earn a living online during the day and DJing at night. So ive got a very wide range of music i listen to and enjoy...
Looking back I think it was super ignorant to refuse to enjoy music that wasntmetal etc. Maybe its an age thing or maybe its just the environments I've been exposed to that have broadened my musical horizons.
What are your thoughts on this? How many of you are single genre purists or like me and listen to everything from BB King to Schoolboy Q?
