What characters have the best development in anime?

For me, this is probably the Parasyte Shinichi. The way it develops (does not spoil the show) seemed natural. As if he was still himself, but the things around him were constantly adding and changing his personality. I also like that he asked how he acts all the time throughout the show and seeks to become more like himself again.
