Looking to start mining

Is it worth it to mine newer cryptos? The GPUs are cheaper, but electricity is still expensive, and with a lot of cryptos down 75% from the peak 2 years ago ... are there any opportunities out there? Do people mine for a few weeks/months, and then move on to the next?
