Does anyone else's PC get absolutely tanked by gmod?

I don't know why but the fps on gmod is always so low on servers anyone got an idea why my PC specs are:
Ryzen 5 2600x
GTX 1050Ti
24GB DDR4 Ram

Any help would be appreciated lmao
