Best Support?

Thresh got a nice kit, but is also not very easy to play.
Sona is also awesome for a good teamfight.
If you want to play something to carry as support,
I think Lux/Vel are good options.
I often see Lux with Aftershock and Ashe as adc.
That's very good.
