Tokyo Ghoul manga worth reading if you have seen the anime?

Any1 here read and seen the Tokyo Ghoul Manga & Anime?
I have heard that they are quite similar altho I have also heard that the Manga is better!

Would you say it's worth checking out the manga if I have already seen the Anime? ( Please only answer if you have seen / read both )

& I know they have gotten further in the manga so far than in the anime.
