Which came first? The chicken or the egg?

Is this question really still roaming around the World Wide Web?....
I have had many, many conversations about this, but I really do think the Egg came before anything else.
Just makes more sense really...

Oh, and who even said that a Chicken laid the first Chicken egg?
Might sound weird but it could of been a demented Dinosaur breed for all we know...
