I understand that I have no control over the ban, but I was saying that with that idea that a valid scam report with evidence would lead to a forum ban, not because he scammed me but because he is a scammer, then again, as you said, that is up to the staff team.
True, a scam report would potentially solve the issue with them losing the update and/or their account. If for any reason they won via PayPal though, you would still be the one to lose out as upgrade codes aren't refundable.
Good luck though, pretty sure you do you own checks before dealing with anyone.
Yeah, it never even came to my mind about trying to get a refund if I were to be scammed.
