An interesting question

Something I regret a lot is sneaking out of home, we have an alarm system installed. Now me being young and stupid, I tried to sneak out of a window.. When I opened it.. Heard beeping. (I wasn't smart enough to know that there were sensors on the windows.) As soon as I heard that, I quietly shut the window and sprinted to my bedroom, slowly shutting the door behind me and jumping into bed. I would've turned it off but I didn't know what the code was.. So I sat there for another 5 seconds until I heard an ear piercing siren go off and I just laid there in fear.

It stopped after 15 seconds, assuming either of my parents shut it off, and then one of them came into my room. I laid as still as wall, didn't move a muscle, my heart was racing at that moment lol. And I thought I got away.

Until the next morning after my parents checked the CCTV that they saw me trying to sneak out, got grounded. Laptop, phone and tablet were taken for 2 weeks. Wasn't worth it lol.
