This is not impossible, some banks do this also. They try and reverse everything and deal with legitimate purchases afterwards. Which ifI was compromised is what I'd want to happen.
However, Addicted won it anyway and the money is still in his account. I see no reason as to why Bryson should have to re-pay or lose his upgrades.

Not just the fact Addicted still keeps his money, but Bryson provided some evidence to counter-act the report. What he said happened isn't impossible either.
He also actually came and fought the report, and clearly hasn't just raped his credits and left.
IMO, yes he should get back his upgrades.
In that case he should definitely get his upgrades back, in the end Addicted got his money back. I misunderstood something before, apologies.
