I will dislike if you first convice me why it is a bad thing to have distant learning.

I do it as well,especially through Youtube.It's easy,you can rewind to have something repeated and it's user friendly.In my opinion,it's even better than google groups,except from the part that you can't ask questions.
Your history teacher is forced by law to hold a class and right now,this is the only thing he can do.You are free to not attend,but you will give an exam at the end,so you might as well.As I see it, he is doing his best to hold a class.Now,if he is not doing a proper teaching,reach out and tell him to speak clearer etc.

And if we are being completely honest,if I was a teacher,I wouldn't care less if you liked the video or not.
