So, recently here in 'Murica, there's been a lot of controversy about next months Oscar awards. The "Problem" as some people call it, is there were no people of colour nominated to be in the show. Some actors and actresses such as Will and Jada Smith are so outraged by this that they won't even be attending the show.

There are different opinions on this, such as "The nominations shouldn't be determined by the colour of one's skin, but the worthiness of the nomination" and others arguing "This is racism! There should be people of colour in this show, even if they are not given an Oscar award!" I personally think that this is an AWARD SHOW, with CELEBRITY NOMINEES, and should be treated that way. If said nominee is worth for their nominee, then it shouldn't matter if they are White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, or whatever else. It's ridiculous how easy people get worked up about something and immediately yell racist.

What are your thoughts? You can read more about Will and Jada's boycott here:The Smith's Boycott against the Oscar Awards
