Serious Juvenile Hall

When you're in DJJ it's mainly nothing like it is in Prison/Jail, as I've experienced both sadly. Shitty food, lockdown in DJJ is less than it is in prison/jail but still not fun at all. In DJJ you can socialize if you have the permissions ( for if you don't get arrested for crazy shit ) they let you watch TV, play cards, and talk. When you go, the guards immediately categorize you as "bitch made" or "hard". If you're bitch made, then you're in for a long run with being disrespected by literally everyone in the facility. These are usually the younger kids that end up crying and getting scared. It's a lot worse in prison/jail, so don't get yourself in that situation. Fights go on often. Gang affiliated problems occur ( i was associated with that type of shit a while back ) and sometimes you get your shit handed to you if you think you're hard.
