Look at any PC to Mac specifications to price ratio comparison and tell me again your answer. And then tell me something USEFUL and CRITICAL a Mac can do that a PC or Linux machine can't.

I completely agree on the price comparison. But, performance wise? A MAC is useful for people who loves smoothness, no lag and amazing softwares for editting. Well, tbh both has their pros and cons.

Well, a PC or Linux machine can be just as smooth. I do agree with you that Mac software simply excels at multimedia and production, but I cannot say that software like that is exclusive to Mac. Music Production? Ableton is multiplatform. Multimedia in general? Adobe products are also multiplatform. I've been on both sides of the fence and you have to be lying to yourself to say that Mac machines don't experience any lag at all. Every machine struggles with complex tasks that push them to their limits. Windows machines can utilize that power to a great extent. Hell, Windows is even optimized enough to run smoothly and provide a faster workflow than Macs in many areas. Windows 10 even has anUbuntu bash terminalbuilt in now.

One thing I can get on board with on Apple's side is multimedia, but even that has its competitors. While yes, iOS is simple and streamlined, it lacks substance to take the entirety of the operating system'sexperience directly to the user's hands. Why do you think jailbreaking is so prevalent? iTunes is good for a lot of people - content producers and consumers alike. The App Store also has significantly less shitware than say, the Windows App Store or the Play Store. However, there comes a time where even an iPad is beat. A lot of Android tablets pack a lot of punch under the hood. Amazon's Kindle line has some pretty kick ass speakers on their higher end of the spectrum (FireOS is shit though). If you really wanted to spend money for a table that does everything essential, then a Surface would be infinitely better.

Apple is also getting beat in the laptop department badly. I'd take an LG Gram or a Razer Blade any day over a MacBook Air.

I'm not bashing on Apple because it's cool. I'm bashing on Apple because they aren't doing anything to better themselves at this point.

Apple puts style over specs, unfortunately, and it's the same for a bit of other competitors.
They're way too interested in how they can make things thinner and look better without any regard to its performance.

There goes another Note 7.

No, that's an explosion in your home country

The new iMac hasn't too bad specs. Intel Core i7 @ 4,0GHz, 5k Display, 32GB RAM, AMD Radeon R9 395X. So I'm not sure if they only took care of the looks.

Speaking of which, they haven't updated those in so long :noh:
yeah
