Why do you, Genshin Impact players play this game?

Let me introduce myself first.

I'm a quite average gamer, that mostly looks forward to milsim-like games, or games with deep realism, and deep-worked mechanics. As you can see - I do not correspond to the average genshin playerbase. And as you may suggest, no, I do watch anime and I do have some favourite titles that belongs to my hears. About games part - I don't consider myself as straight milsim player, because I can accept playing something like Warcraft for example, but just not that often like milsims, maybe, about twice a month and that's It.

But genshin - Is completely different story for me. I just can't play It. I tried begin play It three times overall, last two was because my gf kinda forced me to play with her, but that's not the issue. I just don't know what to do there. The gameplay overall feels like you running around in beautiful but empty and unalive world, hitting some sandbags, that called "hilichurls" or something like this with quite average fighting mechanics and sometimes do some very boring and crucially linear main quests.

So, my question repeats: Why do you genshin players, I'm sorry, play this game?
