I am a music enthusiast. I love getting the highest quality music that is possible. I regularly use YouTube to MP3 Converters since most of the music I listen to are from music promotion channels and are one off singles. In this thread I will be comparing three YouTube - MP3 Converters. All which promise a HD download. These three Converters are Vubey.yt, Converto.io and yt2mp3.venipa.net

I will be testing all three with the song "Alive (VIP Mix)" since its the song that changed my mind and had me realize that hd music sounds a lot better than 128kbps music

Keep in mind this is from an amateur music fan.

Vubey.yt

I found Vubey after trying to find a HD converter. It promises a 320kbps download, and being able to download from websites like YouTube, and SoundCloud.

Positives:

The design looks nice and it took around 30 seconds to load the url and provide me the download link. After that all you have to do is click where it says "here" to get your download. The audio also had the same quality as the YouTube video that it was downloaded from.

Negatives:

The first problem I had are the pop-up ads. From what I experienced, the pop-up ads show up the first time you try to click "here" but then they never show up again until you close the tab. They usually caused no harm to me, but there were certain times where I had to close out of chrome via task manager because of those annoying "you have a virus" popups that won't let you close the app.
Another issue I have is the name. By default the file name has underscores inbetween the spaces. This is usually not a problem, but for Vubey the title is the same as the name. Not to mention the fact that at the end it says "Vubey" on the end. Also there is no album art downloaded. You just get the straight MP3 file. Now you can change this with an app like Shuttle music player, or Musicbee. But it still is a hassle to setup.

Overall Vubey has good quality sound, but is a pain to actually use regularly.

Converto.io

Positives:

The first positive is that I really like the design of the site. I'm a sucker for material design I guess.
Another positive is that you are able to download the file in MP3 or MP4 form. So if you want to download a video, it's a one stop shop.
The best part of the site though is how you are able to edit id3 tags on the website. You are able to edit the Title, Artist, Album, and album art! Converto also automatically searches for information about the song so the album art could show up automatically. This is honestly the best feature of this application in my opinion.
The audio quality is also as good as Vubey's.

Negatives:

The only negative that I can think of are the pop-up ads. Again it's the same case as Vubey. They show up once, but then go away afterwards.

Overall I feel like Converto is an amazing site. The iD3 tag editor inside of the website is a game changer and it should make it an auto pick for most.

yt2mp3.vubey.net

Positives:

Well first I gotta say this is run by Venipa on NBB. So ya know. If ya wanna support him. He is extremely talented in many ways like graphics, music, and web design.
I love the design of the site. The images and light design really works.
Also on Venipa's site, you are able to download the videos in MP3 and MP4 format.
Another really cool feature is being able to play the audio on the site! Never seen that before tbh.

Negatives:

Not sure if it's just me but the audio that I am getting isn't downloading correctly / playing right. I've tried 10 times now and every time has had nothing play.

Overall I would rank Converto to be the best MP3 downloader out. Venipa's site seemed good but in my experience it didn't work correctly.

Hope you guys enjoyed this! ^-^
