Do you drink or smoke?

My mother smokes and drinks. My father drinks.
My mother is 51 now, starting smoking at age 17. She said she got into it because everyone at her school did it, and it wasn't even considered bad back then. It was just what everyone did which she picked up as well.
She said she has no problems in her life because of smoking, so she still does it.
