Interesting, recently I've heard that once you've optimized your site, you can basically forget it. I was advised that you can see a massive spike in traffic by producing 2x articles daily for 2-3 months . With the amount of content you produce, by sharing it on social media platforms ( granted it's quality) you'll start obtaining backlinks naturally, and the higher the quality, the more you'll get.

Optimizations does help. But forgetting about it is a wrong move. You should never forget about it. They dynamics are changing daily. You should be checking what your competitors are doing using specialised tools and try to apply the same to your blog. Ignore and your competitor may land on a brand new tool that will outshine you.

never and I mean NEVER buy backlinks from either SEOClerks or Fiverr.

Those links come from toxic web 2.0 sites and it will hurt your SEO.
