Yes, the best version after 1.7.2. Next updates are useless.

Agreed, but 1.8.9 would be better then 1.8 because it has more features and less bugs then 1.8 does.

As a Non pvp player, i really like the new updates because they implemented new features in the game like flying and swimming

the combat update was the worst thing ever.. tbh. pre-1.8 was the best

If the versions after 1.8.x could merge the legacy combat system into them I think a lot of people would have been a lot happier with the current state of the game. It's a problem when nearly half a decade later there is still around 30% of your playerbase playing on an older version. Mojang should have fixed it; but they didn't
