I have been playing around with photoshop for the first time, exploring its features. I youtube searched for logo tutorials, and tried oneout, here's what I came up with.
Lol yes, I am proper noob, but am enjoying the program!

Its a designbased around a family members business name, meh have to start somewhere. ^_^

Sharpen the edges btw, you can see some pixelation.

Have you watched any comprehensive tutorials on the fundamentals of photoshop? If not you should do that first instead of jumping in not know the tool in front of you it can boost your skills quickly.

Thanks, it was a good tutorial, learned a lot in regards to layer masks and PS controls. ^^

I know about someof the tools as I used gimp in the past, it's the keyboard shortcuts I am getting to grips with, but from watching tutorials I am learning them!

I like the 2nd one because it actually links with your business unlike the 1st attempt which looks slightly unprofessional.
