There's been quite a bit of chatter online over the new Nvidia GPU cards, mainly over the cost of them.
With that in mind, will any of you be planning, or have already order/got a 2080 or 2080 ti? Or any of the new Nvidia cards?
I am planning on buying a 2080ti, the guide price is 1300 for the model I want, which is quite insane..
Part of me see's it as a investment, as i work within 3d which requires powerful cards, so I guess eventually I would make the money back which justifies it.. However, considering previous cards never cost this much in comparision, it seems a little silly, so I think I may be wait until the end of the year and hope a deal will pop up or prices will drop for competitive reasons..
That said.. I do not actually know if many of the Asus etc models of the 2080ti even have release dates yet..

If AMD brings up a good offering to truly compete with the 2080ti then I may upgrade for the compute power, but for gaming I am not really all that bothered about raytracing, more interested in raytracing for 3d art in video.
