I hate to grave dig here but custom loops are pretty intense to be honest, and if you're not overclocking there really is no benefit versus an AIO. But you do get the benefit of having your GPU on the same loop and that's the only benefit I see in your situation. Why do you need anything more than the stock cooler on the GPU, are you in a desert? Honestly just keep things as they are and maybe buy a h100i v2 for the cpu. You should be just fine.

AIO is what I went for a mate of mine build a custom water build and he told me he wished he just went AIO, I get the same temps with my kit without a very expensive cost.

Both AIO and custom wk could look nice but when i was deciding I didn't feel like trying to do a custom wk its a lot of work and I didn't really need it and I was't comfortable with constructing it when I could just buy an AIO and pop it into my PC.

liquid / water cooling is really only worth it if you got high overclocks..

my 970 and 980 ti have insane overclocks and in the winter they can get cold as 39c at full load running over 1500Mhz, 1529 to be exact.

great for folding but for daily use and no overclocks you don't need liquid cooling.
